1st UNIMED Masterclass Series

As part of our cooperation with UNIMED, we announce the opening of the Introductory Session: Global Internationalisation Trends in Higher Education: institutional and global policy perspectives taking place on September 30thHere you can download the agenda.

This session will officially open the 1st UNIMED Masterclass Series, an exclusive training opportunity reserved for staff of UNIMED associated members. The Masterclass Series will be held online and participation is free of charge.

Programme Schedule

All sessions take place on Tuesday, apart from one which takes place on Wednesday (8th October), from 10.00 to 12.00 CEST/CET. The first hour will introduce the topic through various contributions from international experts and UNIMED staff members, while the second hour will be interactive and see the active participation of attendees.

  • 30 September 2025 – Introductory Session: Global Internationalisation Trends in Higher Education: institutional and global policy perspectives
  • 8 October 2025 – Euro-Mediterranean Academic Cooperation
  • 21 October 2025 – Erasmus+ Capacity Building in the field of Higher Education and VET: technical and financial aspects
  • 4 November 2025 – Strategic perspectives on International Credit Mobility: European and Southern Mediterranean insights

Please note that the Masterclass Series is composed of 3 core sessions. The session on 30 September is an introductory event to open the series.

Participation rules

  • Participation is restricted to a maximum of 2 staff members per UNIMED associated University per session, taking into account that the two participants may vary across sessions, based on their expertise and role (for a maximum of 8 trainees per institution in total).
  • We kindly ask each university to select the staff members most suited to attend each session by filling out this google form by 23rd September, and ask them to register on Zoom following the instructions provided below.

Registration

Participants must register individually using the following link: Registration Form

  • Registration will remain open until the Wednesday of the week before each session at 12.00 noon.
  • Participants may register for one or more sessions, according to their interests.
  • A Moodle repository will be available to all registered participants with training materials and resources.

Certification and Open Badge

  • Participation Certificate will be issued to those attending at least 1 session.
  • A Successful Completion Certificate will be issued to participants who attend all 3 sessions and the introductory session.
  • An Open Badge will be issued to participants who:
    1. Attend all 3 sessions of the series and the introductory session, and
    2. Submit a reflective article or blogpost (max. 2,000 words) on one or more aspects covered, by the end of the month following the Masterclass, by uploading it on the Moodle repository created for the Masterclass.
