Scientific research and innovation activities at Hassan II University of Casablanca are organized according to the following structure :

• Research Team;
• Research Laboratory;
• Thematic Center for Research and Innovation (CTRI).

The research team is the basic structure constituting the laboratory, but it is not subject to accreditation. The Laboratory and the Thematic Center for Research and Innovation at UH2C are accredited by the CU.

UH2C has 99 accredited research laboratories for the period 2025-2028, comprising more than 400 teams. Research at UH2C is organized around 6 fields :

1. Engineering and Technical Sciences : 47 laboratories
2. Medical Sciences : 10 laboratories
3. Arts, Letters, and Humanities : 18 laboratories
4. Economics and Management : 17 laboratories
5. Law : 6 laboratories
6. Educational Sciences : 1 laborator
