PHYSICAL ACCESSIBILITY
Hassan II University of Casablanca (UH2C) has established specific accommodations to ensure accessibility on its campuses for all students, notably those with reduced mobility. Currently, 13 of its 18 institutions, or 65%, are equipped with access ramps, adapted elevators, accessible toilets, and clear signage. These accommodations allow disabled students to move freely and fully participate in university life.
ADAPTED PEDAGOGICAL TOOLS
Hassan II University of Casablanca has put in place significant measures to meet the educational needs of students with disabilities. Technological tools, such as assistance software, screen readers, and voice recorders, are available to facilitate their learning. Currently, two entities are equipped with these technologies, with the aim of extending this accessibility to all campuses by 2030. Moreover, exam accommodations are planned, including additional time and the use of adapted materials, to ensure a fair assessment of these students' skills.
PERSONALIZED SUPPORT
Hassan II University of Casablanca is actively committed to supporting students with disabilities by offering personalized assistance. Dedicated services, such as specialized advisors and tutors trained to support these students, are established to help them overcome administrative and educational obstacles, ensuring careful monitoring of their academic journey.
Furthermore, training sessions are organized for volunteers responsible for accompanying these students during exams, guaranteeing evaluation conditions suited to their specific needs.
Awareness campaigns are regularly conducted to promote a culture of respect and inclusion within the university community. These initiatives aim to combat prejudice, encourage solidarity, and create an environment conducive to the flourishing of every student, regardless of their particularities.
Thus, by investing in these various actions, UH2C not only responds to the specific needs of students with disabilities but also contributes to building a more inclusive institution, where equality and dignity for all are at the core of its values.
