RESEARCH VALORIZATION – INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY: PATENTS / COPYRIGHT

Aware of the essential role of scientific and technical research in the development of socio-economic and industrial sectors at both national and regional levels, Hassan II University of Casablanca has implemented an Intellectual Property Policy. This policy aims to protect the results of research conducted by its researchers and to facilitate the transfer of innovations from its laboratories to the industrial and socio-economic sectors.

In this context, the university supports its researchers throughout the entire administrative process for filing patents and covers the costs of filing as well as the maintenance of inventions.

The patent application file must include :

• The patent application form, duly signed by the principal inventor and the head of the institution  (Lien)
• Form B1 (downloadable from the OMPIC website)
• Form BS (downloadable from the OMPIC website)
• The invention declaration identifying the principal inventor and co-inventors  (Lien)
• A description of the invention, specifying its field, the technical problem addressed, the proposed solution, and its potential industrial applications
• Claims, defining the subject matter and scope of the requested protection
• Drawings, if necessary to understand the invention
• An abstract summarizing the technical content of the invention
